Is the electromagnetic force is enormously stronger than the gravitational force ??
Just take one example, If two electrons placed at some distance in air.
Charge of electron = 1.60218×10¯¹⁹c.
Mass of electron = 9.1×10¯³¹ kg.
Dielectric cont. = 9×10⁹ Nm²/c².
G = 6.67×10¯¹¹ Nm²/kg²

Force |
Gravitational Force |
Much Stronger |
Much weaker as
compared to electrostatic force |
Can be
attractive or repulsive |
Only attractive |
Depends on the
nature of medium between charges |
Does not depend
on the nature of medium between masses |
